Bake for 20 mins or until golden and crispy

Sadly the porcelain-skin look is not one I rock preferring to permanently remain a skin tone near or above the golden marker or else look ill. Therefore fake tan is my friend. By fake tan I mean I use Dove Summer Glow moisturiser which is a lot less scary than hard core fake tan and gives me an all over even tan year round! Hurray! In the summer months I tend to use it less as generally it is sunnier in summer... however if, like me, you spend the majority of your summer in a warehouse regular application may still be necessary.
Sadly fake tan is something of a taboo for some people. I must confess that as a young girl I boldly declared that I would never use the stuff considering myself morally above such frivolities. This statement has since been withdrawn along with the rest of my morals...
The fear of looking like an Umpa Lumpa is a big draw back for most where fake tanning is concerned, but this really is easily avoidable. Firstly, an exfoliating mitt works wonders. Regular use not only stop dry patches of skin that the tan will build up in, but also leaves you feeling squeeky clean. Personally I don't feel like I've properly washed unless I've scoured myself with an exfoliating mitt. Best feeling ever.
Everyone has their preferences on which sort of fake tan is best; foam, cream etc, Spray tans are literally the best thing in the world but ain't nobody got time for that every week! So for at home, regular use I stand by fake tan moisturisers. They're gradual and not as noticeable so any mistakes can easily be hidden. Be warned, fake tanning can be highly addictive. Start at your own risk.
